Jonathan M. McElwain, P.E.* 

Jonathan is Vice President of Elliott, LeBoeuf & McElwain. He was one of the original employees of the firm, when it was founded (as Elliott, LeBoeuf & Associates) in 1999. He became Vice President in 2007, coinciding with the retirement of Doug Elliott. 

Jonathan has over 30 years of structural engineering experience. His experience includes hundreds of completed and active projects in the metropolitan Washington, DC area and at U.S. Embassy, Consulate, & Mission facilities worldwide. He has been the structural engineer of record for projects with construction values ranging from tens of thousands of dollars to $500 million dollars. 

Jonathan enjoys working on a wide variety of projects. He has a particular fondness for working within existing buildings. He also enjoys traveling both domestically and overseas for project work. 

Jonathan lives in the Virginia suburbs of Washington, DC with his wife, Kim. He has three grown children. He enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
