Central Piedmont Community College PSTC is under construction

Phase 1 of the 39-acre, $118M public safety training center is now under construction at Central
Piedmont Community College’s Levine Campus. Teamed with Boomerang and Leo A Daly, Elliott,
LeBoeuf & McElwain contributed to the program and master plan of the new training center and is
designing three training structures.
Phase 2 is in design to finish the 135,000 sf buildout, which will include:
- Academic building
- Indoor tactical shooting range
- Multi-zone tactical training neighborhood, including:
a. Urban block with town square, bank, convenience store, and flexible indoor training
space that can simulate office, hotel, and hospital.
b. Urban residential block
c. Suburban cul-de-sac - Burn neighborhood with 2-story Class A residential burn building and 3 1/2-story Class A
commercial burn building with walkout basement - 7-story clean tower for fire, EMS, rescue, and law enforcement training
- Tech rescue neighborhood
- Simulated fire station
- 15 acre EVOC
- POPAT
