NFPA 1400 is now in effect

NFPA 1400 (2026 edition) is now published and in effect. Roger LeBoeuf is honored to serve on the two
NFPA committees that worked for two years to consolidate seven existing NFPA standards into this one
document and to update and improve its technical content. In his 26 years on these committees, this was
one of the two most challenging efforts undertaken by the committee, with the other being converting
NFPA 1402 from a guide to a standard in 2019.
